Dan Campbell’s Marilyn Monroe Halloween Costume Revealed by His Wife

We didn’t exactly expect to see Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell dressed as Marilyn Monroe for Halloween, but that’s exactly what surfaced this week. Before Detroit’s Friday practice, which coincided with Halloween, Campbell revealed to reporters that he had once gone all out with a Marilyn Monroe costume.

“Dan Campbell said he once dressed up as Marilyn Monroe for Halloween,” reported Jeremy Reisman of Pride of Detroit. Naturally, that confession sparked an online hunt for photographic evidence, and it didn’t take long for someone to reach out to Campbell’s wife, Holly, to see if she had any proof.

Fortunately, she delivered. Photos quickly emerged showing Campbell fully embracing the look of the Hollywood icon. It’s safe to assume the Lions’ coach isn’t thrilled those images went public, and his players will likely have plenty of fun with it.

When told he was a good sport for pulling off such a bold costume, Campbell laughed and said, “Alcohol helps.” Just another reason fans adore the Lions’ larger-than-life coach. As the viral pictures continue to circulate, Detroit turns its focus to a key Week 9 divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
