Matthew Stafford’s Wife Celebrates the Arrival of ‘Baby Stafford’

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly, have long been advocates for fertility support, having personally faced challenges conceiving. Thanks to in vitro fertilization (IVF), the couple welcomed twin daughters in 2016, and since then, they have dedicated themselves to helping other families navigate similar struggles.

This week, the Staffords’ generosity came full circle in a touching moment. Kelly shared an Instagram post celebrating the birth of a baby named “Stafford,” born to Jakob and Mikayla, recipients of the 2024 Brilora Stafford IVF Grant. In her post, Kelly wrote, “Welcome baby Stafford ❤️❤️❤️,” highlighting the profound impact of their support on other families.

The couple named their son Stafford as a tribute to Matthew and Kelly, acknowledging the Staffords’ role in making their dream of parenthood possible. The Brilora Fertility Foundation also shared their excitement, describing the newborn as “a reminder of what’s possible when hope meets compassion.” Baby Stafford’s story is a testament to the ripple effect of kindness and generosity, proving that one family’s efforts can create life-changing outcomes for others.

The Staffords’ IVF Grant Initiatives

Matthew and Kelly have built a beautiful family of four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, and Tyler. Beyond raising their own children, they have committed to helping others build families through fertility grants. Together with Chosen Fertility Group, the Staffords fund two IVF grant programs: one through the Michigan Center for Fertility & Women’s Health and another serving patients within a 40-mile radius of Los Angeles.

Earlier this year, the couple participated in Chosen Fertility’s “In the Spirits of Infertility” gala in Los Angeles, organized in partnership with HRC Fertility. Acknowledging that one in six couples faces fertility challenges, the Staffords are vocal advocates for breaking the silence around infertility.

Kelly, who now serves as board chair of the Brilora Fertility Foundation, has spoken openly about the lasting emotional impact of infertility. She remarked, “Even though it’s been years since our own experience with infertility, it’s a community you belong to forever.”

Off the football field, Matthew and Kelly continue to champion hope, empathy, and support for others. Their philanthropy and advocacy have already touched countless lives, and with the arrival of baby Stafford Torrey, their mission’s full-circle impact is evident—demonstrating the transformative power of compassion and generosity.
