Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown Issues Apology Following Controversial Trump Celebration

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown addressed criticism following his post-touchdown dance, which some viewed as politically charged.

“First off, I want to say I’m sorry if anyone felt offended,” St. Brown explained. “That was never my intent. We were just celebrating and having fun out there. Honestly, if any president had been at that game and had a signature dance, I would’ve copied it too. It had absolutely nothing to do with politics. Later on, I was told that this was actually the first time in over four decades that a sitting president attended a regular-season game, which blew my mind.”

He continued, “It was all just lighthearted fun — nothing deeper than that. Just a little dance, a quick move. It wasn’t meant to make any sort of political statement.”

The Lions, sitting at 6–3, are preparing to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (7–2) in a crucial Sunday night matchup that could impact playoff seeding. Philadelphia currently leads the NFC, while Detroit holds the top spot in the NFC North. A win for either team would be a major boost in the race for postseason positioning.?
