Terrible Choice”: New York Supporters React to McDermott Linked to Giants Coaching Vacancy

The New York Giants are struggling this season with a 2-9 record, and speculation is already swirling about who could be in line for the team’s next head coaching role. Since their Super Bowl victory in 2011, the Giants have only reached the playoffs twice, highlighting the need for a leader who can turn the program around quickly.

One name that has emerged in discussions is Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott. While he isn’t currently in danger of losing his job—especially with the Bills finding ways to reach the playoffs—there’s always a possibility that if McDermott were let go, he could be considered for the Giants’ position.

“I’d imagine if Sean McDermott is let go by the Buffalo Bills, he’d be a top candidate for the Giants job, especially if Joe Schoen stays and McDermott doesn’t dislike him.”

Fans of the Giants reacted strongly to the idea on social media, with many expressing skepticism about McDermott’s suitability for New York. While landing a coach of his caliber might seem far-fetched, Giants supporters are desperate for change. Their immediate goal isn’t a Super Bowl but simply getting back into the playoffs.
