NFL Reveals Kickoff Time for Eagles vs. Commanders Week 16 Matchup

The NFL has officially revealed the kickoff time for the Week 16 showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field. The divisional matchup is set to begin at 5 p.m. on December 20.

Later that same evening, the league announced, the Green Bay Packers will face the Chicago Bears at 8:20 p.m. Both contests are scheduled to be broadcast on FOX.

This upcoming Eagles–Commanders meeting marks the first time the two NFC East rivals have faced each other since last year’s NFC Championship, where Philadelphia overpowered Washington on its way to a Super Bowl victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Philadelphia once appeared firmly in control of the division during the 2025 campaign, but consecutive losses have tightened the race and allowed the Dallas Cowboys to creep closer in the standings.

Despite the setback, the Eagles still sit atop the NFC East with an 8–4 record, while the Cowboys trail at 6–5–1. According to The Athletic’s playoff projection model, Philadelphia remains heavily favored to claim the division crown with a 90% chance, while Dallas holds a 10% shot at the title and a 23% chance of reaching the postseason.

The Commanders, meanwhile, enter the matchup at 3–9, a tough stretch largely influenced by a wave of injuries — including one to standout quarterback and reigning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels.

The two teams will meet again to close out the regular season in Week 18.
