With this touchdown, Gibbs joined an exclusive club, becoming the third player in franchise history to score 10 or more touchdowns from scrimmage in his first two seasons, joining legends Barry Sanders and Billy Sims.

Gibbs wasn’t done yet. In the third quarter, he found the end zone again, extending Detroit’s lead to 21-6. David Montgomery also added to the scoreboard with his own touchdown, marking his 11th of the season and helping the Lions further solidify their grip on the game.

David Montgomery also suffered a setback when he exited the game with a shoulder injury following a strong performance earlier in the game. His return was ruled questionable, and he was taken to the locker room for further evaluation.

In the fourth quarter, cornerback Carlton Davis was another casualty, suffering what appeared to be a knee injury. Davis limped off the field, adding to the growing list of injuries for Detroit.
