Detroit Lions Announce Big News Before Sunday’s Clash with Buffalo Bills

The Detroit Lions are currently tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the NFL as they head into Sunday’s highly anticipated matchup with the Buffalo Bills at 4:25 p.m. ET at Ford Field.

The Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen and James Cook, are the only team to have defeated the Chiefs this season, adding to the excitement surrounding this clash between two Super Bowl contenders in Detroit.

On Monday, the Lions made an announcement on social media that was met with enthusiasm by fans ahead of what could be one of the biggest games of 2024.

The team plans to bring back their alternate “Motor City Muscle” black uniforms, complementing a black theme at Ford Field to set the tone for this important game against the Bills.

If the Lions wear the black alternates as expected, it will mark their second time doing so this season, the first being in a win over Geno Smith, Kenneth Walker III, and the Seattle Seahawks on September 30, 2024, during a Monday Night Football game.

“For the Bills funeral let’s go,” one fan wrote in response to the news.

“13-1 confirmed,” another fan posted.

“Admin you’re cooking,” a third fan commented, adding three “flame” emojis.

The Lions have not beaten the Bills since October 2006, when Jon Kitna and JP Losman were the quarterbacks for their respective teams. Detroit has lost four straight to Buffalo, including a 28-25 defeat in 2022 when Josh Allen’s Bills edged out Jared Goff’s Lions in Detroit.
