Luka Doncic Responds to Doubts After Lakers Trade

Luka Doncic is no stranger to criticism.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers’ new star attended a game against the Golden State Warriors to watch his teammates play. Although he wasn’t in uniform for the matchup, the Los Angeles crowd gave him a warm reception.

Prior to the game, Doncic sat down with TNT for an interview, where he was asked about the concerns raised in Dallas following his trade, particularly regarding his fitness and weight.

Doncic wasted no time addressing the issues.

“That’s fine,” Doncic remarked. “I’ve faced doubts countless times before. It only pushes me to work harder and get better. I’ve been questioned a lot.”

“I’m used to it.”

Doncic will have plenty of chances to silence his critics in the coming years, with his potential debut for the Lakers against the Utah Jazz on Monday, where he may get his first chance to show off his fitness in purple and gold.
