A sidelined player from the defensive squad of La Liga champions Real Madrid was seen back on the field at the club’s training ground on Sunday.
The player in question is David Alaba.
The defender has, in fact, spent the past few weeks recovering on the treatment table.
This followed a setback in his recovery from a serious knee injury, which had prevented him from regaining full fitness. As a result, Alaba missed Real Madrid’s last five matches across all competitions.
However, based on the latest images from the Spanish capital, it seems that the former Bayern Munich player’s return is now much closer to becoming a reality.
This comes with the confirmation that Alaba was seen training again at Valdebebas on Sunday morning.
At 32 years old, he could now be in line for a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad to face Manchester City in the upcoming Champions League match this Wednesday.
