Final Injury Updates for LeBron James and Luka Doncic in Lakers-Nuggets Game

When the Los Angeles Lakers made a major move to trade for superstar guard Luka Doncic, fans immediately began to dream of the incredible pairing of him and LeBron James. However, the Lakers have only posted a 1-2 record with both players on the floor, which includes defeats to the Utah Jazz and Charlotte Hornets.

Doncic is a proven star, and James is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in basketball history. Given their combined talent, this pairing should not be underperforming, and the league likely fears what will happen when they finally get on the same page. The Lakers will visit the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night, with Nikola Jokic and his team hoping they won’t catch fire at Ball Arena.

While there was some doubt about whether James and Doncic would play in Denver on Saturday, the Lakers have now confirmed their availability. Both players are good to go, despite being listed on the injury report due to injury management concerns.
Since joining the Lakers, Doncic has been averaging 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in just 26.7 minutes. He was on a strict minutes limit in his first two games with the team, but that restriction was lifted following the All-Star break.
James is currently averaging 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game this season, coming off a 40-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. Saturday’s star-packed game in Denver is sure to be one to watch.
