Barcelona sporting director Deco has addressed the possibility of re-signing Neymar this summer but has not dismissed the idea of bringing the Brazilian back to the club.

Rumors suggest Neymar is eager to return to Barcelona, though doubts remain about whether the Catalan club would welcome him back for another stint.

Deco praised Neymar’s talent but expressed uncertainty about the prospect of signing the 33-year-old forward.

“Neymar? It’s not just about the financial aspect. I admire Neymar a lot. For me, he’s the best player of the last 10 or 20 years. He’s a phenomenon and still a great player,” he told TNT Sports.

“The most important thing is for Neymar to be happy and enjoy playing football again. Right now, I believe there’s no better place for him than Brazil, especially at Santos. I support him and wish him happiness because the Brazilian national team needs him, and all football lovers want to see Neymar happy.”

Deco also denied that Barcelona had finalized plans for next season’s squad.

“At the moment, we don’t have a clear plan for next season. Many factors need to be resolved first,” he added.

“Neymar is still an important player, but building a team requires balance and proper planning. He was a phenomenon here, winning titles and achieving a lot.

“It could happen again – nobody knows. But right now, it’s not the right time for Barcelona to discuss Neymar’s return, and I don’t think Neymar is thinking about it either. I see him happy, and that’s what matters most.”

Speculation about Neymar’s potential return is already making headlines, with more discussions expected in the coming months – especially if he shines at Santos.
