Former Italian international Roberto Pruzzo has stated that Victor Osimhen will sign for Juventus next season, amid rising rumors about the Nigerian striker’s future, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen, on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been in superb form in Turkey, while speculation about his return to Serie A continues to grow.
Speaking to Radio Radio via TMW, AS Roma legend Pruzzo claimed that a trusted source close to Osimhen confirmed the player’s move to Turin is nearly finalized.
“I know Osimhen will be Juventus’ next striker. A reliable source close to his circle told me in Florence. They are certain he will go to Turin next year,” Pruzzo said.
The 26-year-old endured a tough summer with uncertainty about his future following an impressive season with Napoli.
Despite interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, and Al-Ahli, no permanent deal was agreed, with Galatasaray sealing a loan move in September 2024.
Osimhen has scored 16 goals in 20 Super Lig matches and six goals in the Europa League, making him one of the deadliest strikers in Europe this season.
His performances have reignited interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal, but Pruzzo’s comments suggest Osimhen prefers a return to Italy.
Juventus were linked with Osimhen during the winter transfer window, but reports indicated the Bianconeri had cooled their interest.
However, Pruzzo’s latest remarks have revived the transfer speculation.
Napoli, who own Osimhen’s rights until 2026, are demanding €70-75 million for a permanent transfer.
Galatasaray are eager to keep him but face stiff competition if Juventus move forward with their bid.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna recently confirmed the club is working to avoid another lengthy transfer saga like last summer.
“Victor Osimhen has a release clause in his contract. We are working to find a solution quickly to avoid a late transfer,” Manna said.
Despite Juventus’ reputation as one of Italy’s top clubs, they are not close to finalizing the deal.
Osimhen remains focused on helping Galatasaray reclaim the Super Lig title, postponing any transfer decision until the summer.
A return to Italy may not be his top priority, with clubs from England and France still showing interest.
The former Lille and Wolfsburg striker has never hidden his desire to play in the English Premier League, being a lifelong Manchester United fan and an admirer of Didier Drogba and John Mikel Obi.
