LeBron James Delivers Powerful Message to Steph Curry Following Record-Breaking Performance

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors secured their sixth consecutive victory with a dominant 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night. The Warriors had eight players reach double figures, with Draymond Green leading all scorers with 23 points on 57.1% shooting, including four three-pointers. However, the main headline of the night belonged to Curry, who made history in San Francisco by becoming the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers. For the 11-time All-Star, setting records is nothing new, as he already holds the title for the most three-pointers made in NBA history. While Curry regularly receives praise from his peers, one message of congratulations stood out after this latest milestone.

LeBron James, a 21-time All-Star, celebrated his former gold medal-winning teammate with a post on X. “4K from Trey is CRAZY!!!!!” James wrote. “Congrats my brother!! That’s [fire].”

4K from Trey is CRAZY!!!!! Congrats my brother!! That’s @StephenCurry30.
As the NBA’s All-Time leading scorer, James has consistently expressed admiration for both his friend and longtime competitor. Alongside 15-time All-Star Kevin Durant, James and Curry have been dubbed “The OG’s” for their remarkable longevity in the league.

While the Warriors have been thriving since trading for six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler (going 13-1 with him in the lineup), Curry is having one of the least productive seasons of his career. The two-time MVP is averaging 24.5 points per game, his lowest in a season where he played more than five games since 2015. Additionally, he is shooting 39.8% from three-point range, which, if it holds, would mark the first time in his 16-year career that he has shot below 40% from beyond the arc in a season where he played more than five games.
