However, the main headline of the night belonged to Curry, who made history in San Francisco by becoming the first NBA player to reach 4,000 career three-pointers. For the 11-time All-Star, setting records is nothing new, as he already holds the title for the most three-pointers made in NBA history. While the Warriors have been thriving since trading for six-time All-Star Jimmy Butler (going 13-1 with him in the lineup), Curry is having one of the least productive seasons of his career. The two-time MVP is averaging 24.5 points per game, his lowest in a season where he played more than five games since 2015. Additionally, he is shooting 39.8% from three-point range, which, if it holds, would mark the first time in his 16-year career that he has shot below 40% from beyond the arc in a season where he played more than five games.
