Kyle Juszczyk is set to continue playing with the 49ers, according to his wife Kristin, who stated that his “career isn’t finished yet.”
Kristin Juszczyk confirmed on Instagram that her husband, Kyle Juszczyk, is returning to the San Francisco 49ers!
On Saturday, March 15, Kristin shared an emotional video on Instagram, celebrating the couple’s 8-year journey with the team, highlighting the close bonds they’ve formed over the years.
Set to Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times,” the video included memorable moments of Kyle, 33, playing football and celebrating victories with teammates and their partners. There were also clips of the couple walking onto the field, sharing kisses before and after games.
The video showcased the couple enjoying special moments with other 49ers fans, as well as Kristin supporting Kyle alongside friends and family. She concluded the video with unseen moments from the past season, including a heartfelt moment where Kyle tells her, “I love you,” after a game.
Kristin wrote in the caption, “This past week has really made Kyle and I reflect on our past 8 years in the Bay. We grew up here. We turned friends into family here. We won championships here and we lost championships here. We feel so incredibly blessed to have called the bay home for the past 8 years.”
She added, “It’s truly been the best years of our lives. Kyle’s curtain isn’t closed just yet and we couldn’t be more happy and emotional to stay home!!! ❤️ We’re forever Faithful @49ers @juicecheck44.”
Around the same time Kristin posted the video, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed on X that Kyle was “returning to play with the 49ers on a two-year, $8 million deal.”
Originally, Kyle’s contract was set to pay him $4.1 million for the upcoming season, according to NBC News. Though the new deal’s details are undisclosed, the report indicated that Kyle would be taking a pay cut.
This new deal comes after a reportedly hectic week for the Juszczyk family. On Monday, March 10, a source told Schefter that Kyle had been informed he would be released from the 49ers, per ESPN.
Following the 49ers’ season-ending loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Kyle expressed that he wasn’t done playing. As he told reporters on Jan. 5, “I know I’m not done.”
He added, “I’m definitely not done playing. I’ve seen zero regression. I think especially, I mean, you can turn on the last two games and please show me where I’ve regressed, so I have no plans of stopping.”
Kyle had previously spent four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens before joining the 49ers in 2017. He was named first-team All-Pro in 2023 and second-team All-Pro in 2024, according to NBC News.
