Ashton Jeanty is set to meet with the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the NFL Draft.

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly set to host Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty for a “Top 30 Visit” ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

On Monday night, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News confirmed that Jeanty will officially visit the Cowboys on April 4.

Jeanty has been a highly discussed prospect among Cowboys fans due to his explosiveness and potential at a position where Dallas needs improvement, as the team has struggled in recent seasons to establish a reliable running game.

Dallas ended the 2024 season with the sixth-fewest rushing yards in the league, totaling 1,705 yards, and recorded only six rushing touchdowns, the fewest in the NFL.

The Cowboys did little to bolster their running back depth during free agency, adding veterans Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders while allowing Rico Dowdle to sign elsewhere.

Cowboys legend Michael Irvin recently spoke about Jeanty’s potential fit with Dallas, emphasizing how a dynamic running back can significantly impact games and lead to victories.

“Look at what Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry did for their teams this year. So, yeah. If you get a chance to draft Jeanty and get that kind of production, you take him,” Irvin told Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show.

Jeanty is also set to visit the Chicago Bears, who hold the 10th overall pick in the draft, and could schedule more visits with teams selecting in the top 10, according to Bleacher Report.

Another potential landing spot for Jeanty could be the Las Vegas Raiders, who own the sixth overall pick and might choose to fill a major need in their backfield.

If Jeanty is drafted before the Cowboys’ first-round pick, the team might focus on adding another wide receiver or strengthening their defensive line.
