Bronny James sets a new career-high with 39 points in the G League game.
Bronny James is making significant strides with the South Bay Lakers, and in their latest win, he achieved a personal best in scoring.
While Bronny James has had standout moments in the NBA, he continues to spend considerable time with the South Bay Lakers in the G League.
On Monday night, he delivered his best performance yet in the G League, putting up 39 points in South Bay’s 122-118 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Bronny got the scoring started early for South Bay and built on it throughout the game. He shot 14-21 from the field and nailed 50% of his three-point attempts. Additionally, he grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists in the win.
This wasn’t a case of Bronny racking up points after the game had already been decided. South Bay won narrowly, and Bronny played a crucial role in securing the victory.
Although this was his highest-scoring game so far, strong performances from Bronny are becoming more frequent.
With the Lakers now having a full roster minus Maxi Kleber and fighting for playoff positioning, Bronny is likely to continue splitting his time between the G League and the NBA.
Given the limited minutes available with the Lakers, it’s beneficial that Bronny is not only getting valuable experience in the G League but also excelling there.
Now deep into his rookie season, Bronny is progressing as expected, steadily improving with each game.
With only a few games remaining on the G League schedule, Bronny will have more chances to showcase his skills with South Bay before the season wraps up.
It’s hopeful that he continues to shine in the G League while making the most of his NBA opportunities this year.
