Ja Morant Sends Brief Message After Disheartening Update
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has missed the last five games due to a hamstring injury. The Grizzlies have posted a 2-3 record during this stretch, but they did secure a dominant 37-point win over the Utah Jazz in their most recent game.
Once holding the No. 2 seed, the Grizzlies have now dropped to No. 5. They are 6-4 over their last 10 games, but Morant’s absence has clearly impacted the team.
On Thursday, the Grizzlies will face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in hopes of clinching their second straight win. However, just before the game, the team announced Morant would be sidelined once again, prompting the Murray State alum to post a message on social media.
The Grizzlies revealed that Morant would miss another game against the Thunder, marking his sixth consecutive absence without a definitive return date. After the announcement, Morant shared a five-word post on X:
“them rough days , made me !!”
When healthy, Morant is widely regarded as one of the NBA’s top and most explosive guards. His presence is crucial to the Grizzlies’ success. As the regular season winds down, the team will hope for his return as soon as possible.
Morant’s next chance to play for Memphis could come on Saturday when they face the Los Angeles Lakers.
