Three BYU Players Find NFL Homes as UDFAs, Four More Receive Camp Invites.

BYU did not have any players drafted in the 2025 class. However, three former Cougars have been signed as undrafted free agents.

Taysom Hill. Michael Davis. Daniel Sorensen. Three BYU Cougars will look to join the list of these former BYU players who carved out solid NFL careers despite not being drafted.

Tyler Batty, Jakob Robinson, and Caleb Etienne all found NFL homes as undrafted free agents following this past weekend’s draft.

Defensive end Tyler Batty was scooped up by the Minnesota Vikings.

Cornerback Jakob Robinson was signed by the San Francisco 49ers, who already have a defensive standout who hails from BYU in four-time All-Pro Fred Warner.

Caleb Etienne will look to join the offensive line in charge of protecting Joe Burrow with the Bengals.

This was the first time since 2020 that no BYU player was taken in the seven-round NFL Draft. However, that doesn’t mean that they can’t make an impact.

Four other BYU players received rookie mini camp invites around the league. Darius Lassiter will attend the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp.

Offensive lineman Brayden Keim got invited by both the Bears and Chiefs to try out.

Defensive tackle Blake Mangelson will look to join Batty in Minnesota, where he received an invite himself.

Center Connor Pay received an invitation from the Las Vegas Raiders.

These minicamp invites are different from being a signed undrafted free agent. They have no contract in place and must earn it with a strong minicamp.
