Terrance Saryon Changes College Commitment From Washington to BYU
BYU football has secured a commitment from a player who had previously pledged to a Big Ten school.
Terrance Saryon, a wide receiver from Vancouver, Washington in the 2026 class, has committed to BYU. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound pass catcher had originally committed to his local team, the Washington Huskies.
Now he becomes part of BYU’s 2026 recruiting class, which is continuing to gain steam as the program prepares for a packed summer of official visits.
Saryon visited BYU’s campus just last week.
According to 247Sports, Saryon is the fifth-ranked recruit in Washington for 2026. The 247Sports Composite rates him as a three-star recruit and the No. 877 overall prospect nationally.
He holds offers from Big Ten programs like Washington, Illinois, and Oregon, along with Cal from the ACC and Washington State in the Pac-12.
Saryon initially committed to Jedd Fisch and the Huskies back in November before opting for BYU. He is expected to play as a slot receiver in college.
At Evergreen High School in Washington, he totaled 39 catches, 818 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns last season.
With Saryon’s pledge, BYU now has eight commitments in its 2026 class. He ranks third among them per 247Sports, trailing only four-star recruits Brock Harris (TE, Pine View) and Bott Mulitalo (OL, Lone Peak).
