Lions’ Dan Campbell sees positives despite poor backup QB showing

It wasn’t flawless or smooth by any stretch. However, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell still found a few encouraging signs from his backup quarterbacks during the team’s 34-7 preseason-opening defeat.

Kyle Allen started the game against the Los Angeles Chargers and had a difficult opening. He threw two interceptions in the first quarter — one on an out route to his right that got jumped, and another in the end zone that gave rookie Isaac TeSlaa little chance.
