Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs might have taken the Halloween crown with an Avatar-style full body paint costume

Jahmyr Gibbs didn’t settle for a basic outfit this Halloween — he and girlfriend Nicole went all in, and fans are convinced they stole the holiday.

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs didn’t just participate in Halloween—he went cinematic. Gibbs and his girlfriend Nicole Anderson showed up dressed as Jake Sully and Neytiri from Avatar, covered in blue paint from head to toe, complete with braids and film-accurate touches. The pictures exploded online, with media pages boosting the couple’s look after a team celebration. If there’s a “Best Costume” award, the Lions’ playmaker has a serious argument.

What seals it is the variety. Earlier in the week, Gibbs also delivered a perfect Jeff Hardy cosplay, full face paint, sleeves, and the whole Team Extreme energy, earning instant approval from the WWE icon himself. “Step aside, Lamar Jackson,” TMZ joked as Jeff Hardy named Gibbs his new favorite NFL player after seeing the tribute.

“The details are unreal. You can tell they actually know old-school WWE and didn’t just throw on random gear,” one fan commented after watching the Jeff Hardy transformation.

Another fan wrote, “Lmaoo Jahmyr and his girl just dominated Halloween. That chemistry alone should count as six points.”

After the performance he just posted, Gibbs earned the right to celebrate. Lions fans watched him torch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football.

He logged 17 rushes for 136 yards and two scores, highlighted by a momentum-killing 78-yard burst, plus three receptions for 82 yards in a 24–9 victory, per the ESPN Box Score. That’s 218 total yards and the kind of primetime showcase that lets you show up painted blue a few days later with zero shame.

Anderson deserves love too. She matched Gibbs’ dedication as Neytiri, and their synchronized designs made the photos go viral. Halloween has become a yearly spotlight for the couple, and this year’s precision — from props to makeup — explains why they trended everywhere.

Put it together, and Gibbs is quietly crafting a brand that stretches far past the stat sheet. If you’re keeping track: elite output on Sundays, elite dedication on Halloween. Winner of the holiday? Sure feels like it.
