Jack Campbell Top 5 Detroit Lions Player Named to 2026 Pro Bowl Games

The NFL has officially announced the initial roster for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games, and five Detroit Lions players earned selections, highlighting the team’s top-end talent despite a disappointing season.

Jack Campbell Earns First Pro Bowl, Named Starter at Linebacker

Leading the group is Jack Campbell, who was selected as a starting inside linebacker for his first Pro Bowl appearance. Although Campbell led fan voting early before slipping late, his starter designation reflects strong support from NFL players and coaches, who account for two-thirds of the voting.

Campbell’s selection is notable because it means all four of the Lions’ first-round picks from the 2023 NFL Draft have now made the Pro Bowl, validating Detroit’s once-criticized draft class.

Jahmyr Gibbs, Penei Sewell, Aidan Hutchinson Also Named Starters

Jahmyr Gibbs was voted in as the starting NFC running back, marking his third Pro Bowl selection in three seasons.

Penei Sewell earned his fourth Pro Bowl nod and is widely expected to be a First-Team All-Pro, remaining a bright spot on an otherwise struggling Lions offensive line. Sewell is also a favorite for the NFL’s inaugural Protector of the Year award.

Aidan Hutchinson was selected as a starting pass rusher, making his second Pro Bowl appearance after missing most of last season due to injury. His selection confirms a strong return to elite form.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Selected as Pro Bowl Reserve

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was the lone Lion selected as a non-starter. Still, this marks his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl, tying him with Sewell for the most selections among current Lions players.

Jared Goff, Jameson Williams Lead Lions Alternates

Several notable Lions were named Pro Bowl alternates, including:

Jared Goff, who is the first alternate quarterback behind Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, and Sam Darnold. Given typical opt-outs and Super Bowl replacements, Goff has a high likelihood of receiving an invite, though he could decline after Detroit’s disappointing season.

Jameson Williams, whose late-season breakout earned him the fourth alternate spot among wide receivers, putting him within reach of his first Pro Bowl appearance.

Injuries Impact Lions’ Pro Bowl Representation

Several Lions were listed as alternates largely due to injury-related absences:

Brian Branch (1st alternate, safety)

Kerby Joseph (4th alternate, safety)

Sam LaPorta (5th alternate, tight end)

For alternates to officially become Pro Bowlers, players on the initial roster must either opt out or advance to the Super Bowl.

2026 Pro Bowl Games Details

The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will take place on February 3, 2025, in San Francisco, California. Final rosters will be announced closer to the event once Super Bowl participants are replaced.

With multiple starters and several strong alternates, the Detroit Lions are once again well represented, reinforcing the team’s growing core of elite young talent.
