Logan Paul Weighs In on Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance: ‘Puerto Ricans Are Americans

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance sparked widespread attention over the weekend, earning praise from fans while also igniting political debate. While the artist’s global influence is undeniable, his selection as the NFL’s halftime headliner drew backlash from conservative circles. One right-wing group, Turning Point USA, even staged an alternative event in protest of the performance.

Jake Paul was among those who openly rejected the halftime show. The social media personality and professional boxer announced on X that he would not be watching the performance, using inflammatory language to criticize Bad Bunny. Jake referred to the artist as “a fake American” and accused him of harboring anti-American views, remarks that quickly drew criticism online.

Unexpectedly, one of the strongest responses came from Jake’s own brother, WWE star Logan Paul. Publicly distancing himself from Jake’s comments, Logan emphasized that he did not share the same perspective. He stressed that Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens and said he was glad to see Puerto Rican talent represented on such a massive stage.

Logan Paul’s comments stood out given his past associations with conservative viewpoints and his previous praise of former President Donald Trump, who has also been critical of Bad Bunny and the halftime show. However, Logan’s personal connection to Puerto Rico adds important context. He has lived in Dorado since 2021, and in a twist of irony, Jake later purchased a luxury home on the island as well—making his criticism during Super Bowl Sunday all the more notable.
