Kelly Stafford Posts Cringe-Worthy Clip of Daughter During Final Cotillion Class

Kelly Stafford recently shared a lighthearted but slightly cringe-worthy parenting moment involving her daughters. The 36-year-old posted a clip to her Instagram Story showing one of her twin daughters reluctantly dancing with a boy during their final cotillion class. The young girl didn’t appear thrilled to be filmed, wearing a clear scowl as her mom captured the moment.

Kelly and her husband, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, are parents to four daughters: 8-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, 7-year-old Hunter, and 5-year-old Tyler. The cotillion classes, designed to teach traditional manners and social etiquette, marked a milestone for the family. “Final night of cotillion,” Kelly captioned the video, adding an emotional touch to the post.

The dance came shortly after the entire family attended the NFL Honors ceremony on February 5, where Matthew, 38, accepted the NFL MVP award and confirmed during his speech that he plans to play another season.

Back in March 2025, Kelly had spoken openly on her podcast, The Morning After, about ongoing behavioral challenges with her three oldest daughters. She admitted that parenting had become difficult due to persistent attitude issues. Kelly described herself as the stricter parent, while Matthew had recently stepped into that role as well after their usual “good cop, bad cop” approach failed to improve things.

At one point, the couple even canceled the twins’ eighth birthday party because of their behavior, explaining to the girls that they didn’t feel right celebrating under the circumstances. However, the party was later reinstated, and Sawyer and Chandler ultimately enjoyed a French-themed celebration.

In November 2025, Kelly shared that the three oldest girls would begin attending cotillion classes. She also revealed plans to enroll her daughters in a Christian school starting in September 2025. Speaking on her podcast, she explained that she feels strongly about grounding her children in Christian values, especially given what she described as a rapidly changing world. She expressed excitement about providing them with a faith-based foundation they can rely on during difficult times.

During a conversation with her sister Jenny, Kelly noted that she hopes the decision will give her daughters a childhood experience similar to the one they had growing up.

Kelly’s podcast has been on pause since October 2025. In November, she addressed the hiatus on Instagram, explaining that she wants to focus her energy on her family. With Matthew in the midst of a demanding season, she said she feels called to be fully present for her husband and daughters, dedicating herself to those closest to her.
