Cowboys Release Update Regarding Jake Ferguson for the Second Week

Following an offseason filled with off-field issues, particularly contract talks with key players, the Dallas Cowboys started the 2024 NFL season strongly.

In Week 1, they faced a tough challenge by traveling to play the Cleveland Browns, who are strong on both sides of the ball and aiming for a successful season.

Despite the match being highly competitive, the Cowboys showcased their strength by excelling in every aspect and securing a decisive road victory over the Browns.

In Week 2, the Cowboys will host the New Orleans Saints, who recently scored 47 points against the Carolina Panthers.

However, Dallas might be without their starting tight end, Jake Ferguson, who is doubtful due to a knee injury.

Cowboys executive Stephen Jones mentioned on 105.3 The FAN, via Jon Machota of The Athletic, that Ferguson’s participation is uncertain and they are opting for a cautious approach to ensure his recovery.

While Ferguson had three receptions for 15 yards in the win over the Browns and was targeted five times by Dak Prescott, his absence could be significant for the Cowboys’ offense if he is unable to play against the Saints.
