Lions Missing Three Starters and Their Top Two Draft Picks at Practice

The Detroit Lions are facing injury concerns as they prepare to play against Kyler Murray and the Arizona  Cardinals.

During Wednesday’s practice, they were without linebacker Alex Anzalone (brain injury), safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle), guard Graham Glasgow, and cornerbacks Terrion Arnold (finger) and Ennis Rakestraw.

The injuries in the secondary are particularly concerning, especially since Arizona just scored 41 points against the Los Angeles Rams and features a mobile quarterback, which has historically troubled the Lions.

Anzalone, the team’s leading tackler and defensive captain, is listed as day-to-day due to a brain injury sustained in the recent game against Tampa.

The Lions will need to address these issues to contain Arizona’s offense effectively.
