Originally chosen as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, Stafford is now in his fifth year with the Rams.

Heading into Week 10, Los Angeles holds a 6-2 record and is preparing for a major NFC West matchup against the 6-3 San Francisco 49ers.

Matthew and his wife, Kelly Stafford, are proud parents to four daughters — Sawyer, Chandler, Hunter, and Tyler. Back in April 2022, Kelly shared that the family had lost their 13-year-old dog, Marley.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, she wrote:

“Thank you, Marley, for loving me without conditions, no matter how many times I messed up. You brought endless love and happiness to my life for 13 wonderful years. I miss you more than words can express.”

K elly expressed how deeply the loss affected her, noting that Marley used to sleep on Matthew’s side of the bed whenever he was away for football.

By December 2023, the Stafford family welcomed a new dog named George Jack-Jack Stafford into their home.

Recently, Kelly shared more exciting news on Instagram, revealing that their household has grown again.

One of her reels read, “New family member,” followed by another caption that said “George and Lucy” with a heart emoji.

She later posted additional clips featuring Lucy — one showing her in the car during school pickup, and another walking alongside one of the Stafford girls.

With Lucy’s arrival, the Staffords now have two dogs, marking their second pet addition since saying goodbye to Marley.
