Amon-Ra St. Brown Explains His Viral “Donald Trump Dance” Celebration

Detroit Lions star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown turned heads on Sunday—not just for his performance, but for his touchdown celebration that went viral across social media.

After hauling in a nine-yard score against the Washington Commanders, St. Brown broke into a dance inspired by former President Donald Trump, mimicking the now-famous moves that have spread online. His impromptu tribute added a lighthearted moment to Detroit’s dominant win and made him the latest NFL player to copy the viral dance.

When reporters caught up with him after the game, St. Brown said the celebration wasn’t something he had planned in advance. Instead, he decided to go for it once he learned that Trump was actually in attendance at the game in Landover, Maryland.

“I heard Trump was going to be there,” St. Brown said with a grin. “You don’t get too many chances to play in front of a president, so I figured I’d just have some fun with it.”

Trump not only attended the matchup but also joined the game’s broadcast booth for part of the second half. Earlier this year, he was also spotted at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, where the Philadelphia Eagles routed the Kansas City Chiefs.
