Brittany Mahomes Fires Back at Lions Player Who Mocked Patrick Before Chiefs’ Victory

Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, fired back at Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold after the Chiefs’ win on Sunday.

Brittany reposted a sarcastic meme Arnold had shared earlier, mocking the Chiefs and predicting a Lions victory.

The Chiefs went on to defeat Detroit 30–17 before a heated postgame brawl erupted on the field.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ triumph over the Detroit Lions gave Brittany Mahomes the perfect chance to have the last laugh online.

Before kickoff at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12, Lions rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold posted a meme implying the Lions would take down Kansas City on their home turf.

Arnold, 22, used a famous WWE meme showing The Undertaker sneaking up on AJ Styles, editing it to replace their faces with Patrick Mahomes and Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

His meme hinted that Kansas City wasn’t ready for Detroit — but the Chiefs dominated, winning 30–17 before chaos unfolded with players clashing after the final whistle.

Not long after the victory, Brittany, 30, reposted Arnold’s meme on her Instagram Story, highlighting who actually came out on top.

Patrick addressed the postgame tension with reporters, subtly calling out Detroit’s behavior on the field.

“We play the game between the whistles. They can do whatever they want after, but we handle business between the whistles,” Mahomes told reporter Melissa Stark.

The on-field fight began when Lions safety Brian Branch refused a handshake from Mahomes at the end of the game. Branch, 23, then threw a punch at Chiefs receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, leading to a full-on brawl.

Branch later called his actions “childish,” telling reporters his opponents were “trying to bully me out there,” and admitting, “I shouldn’t have done it — it was childish.”

Brittany, for her part, has a long history of defending her husband on social media.

After the Chiefs earned a Super Bowl berth in 2024, she clapped back at critics, writing, “We went there. We won. Anyone else got something to say?” before adding, “See y’all in Vegas,” celebrating Patrick’s fourth Super Bowl appearance in six seasons.

Up next, the Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 19.
