Christen Harper Shares That a 1960s French Actress Inspired Her and Jared Goff’s Daughter Romy’s Name

Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are off to a strong start this season. Sitting atop the NFC North with a 4-1 record, the Lions have won four consecutive games. Goff has been a key figure in leading the team’s early success.

It’s been an incredible year for the quarterback both professionally and personally. Goff and his wife, Christen Harper, celebrated the birth of their first child, Romy, in July. Harper, who boasts over 600,000 Instagram followers, recently shared how they chose their daughter’s name. She revealed that it was inspired by a French actress from the 1960s.

“There was a French actress from the 60s called Romy, short for Rosemary, and I always found it beautiful. When I got pregnant, Jared and I met a little girl with that name at a café and thought it was adorable,” Harper explained on Instagram.

Goff and Harper have been together for over a year now. The couple, who began dating in 2019, were overjoyed to welcome their daughter into the world.

Colin Cowherd Predicts Jared Goff Will Become a Hall of Famer

Jared Goff is having a phenomenal season, and his performance shows it. He currently leads tall quarterbacks with an impressive 75.2 percent completion rate and twelve touchdown passes. He’s been rated the best overall passer and keeps improving week after week.

Sports commentator Colin Cowherd believes Jared Goff’s career trajectory is elite. Cowherd confidently predicted that Goff will eventually make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“Everyone, get used to this idea: Jared Goff will be a Hall of Famer,” Cowherd declared. “Absolutely going to be one. No doubt. He’s structured, rhythmic, and talented — his dad even played pro baseball.”

Cowherd’s prediction could come true if Goff maintains his level of play. Earning a Hall of Fame spot isn’t easy, but Goff could be among the few capable of achieving it. If he keeps up his current form, Colin Cowherd’s bold statement might just be right.
