Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell had high praise for star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown following the team’s 44–30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night at Ford Field.
The Lions improved to 8–5 behind a dominant performance from Jahmyr Gibbs, who scored three rushing touchdowns—including the 13-yard game-sealing run with 2:19 remaining. But Campbell made it clear that St. Brown’s impact went beyond the box score.
Listed as questionable due to an ankle injury, Amon-Ra St. Brown refused to sit out, pushing through the pain to suit up in a crucial NFC matchup.
Campbell said there was “no talking him out of playing,” emphasizing how much St. Brown means to the team’s identity.
“St. Brown is what we are. Where he goes, we go,” Campbell said in a video shared by ESPN’s Eric Woodyard. “His toughness, his willpower, his desire to compete, to help his teammates, and to do whatever it takes to win are second to none. He is rare. His mindset is unmatched. He refuses to fail.”
Campbell highlighted the receiver’s leadership, competitive drive, and determination—qualities he believes set the tone for the entire roster.
