Dan Campbell Keeps It Real in Lions Locker Room Celebration

The Detroit Lions took care of business on Sunday, defeating the Cleveland Browns 34-10 at Ford Field to improve to 3-1 on the year. But if you thought head coach Dan Campbell would only be smiling after the victory, think again.

Inside the locker room, Campbell praised his team for securing the win but emphasized that he wasn’t satisfied with how it was achieved.

“Now, it wasn’t good enough, if I’m being totally straight with you,” Campbell said. “There’s too many spots where we hurt ourselves, and we cannot allow that. Okay? I’m just being upfront. Now, it won’t ruin our Sunday, or this week, alright? That I can guarantee. Proud of you all for the win itself, alright?”

After finishing his message, Campbell handed out two game balls. The first was awarded to Aidan Hutchinson, who dominated Cleveland’s offensive front with two sacks, four quarterback hits, and a forced fumble. The second was given to Kalif Raymond, who fired up the home crowd with a 65-yard punt return touchdown in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

It was another showcase of Campbell’s balance, applauding success while reminding his players the standard remains even higher.

Next, the Lions travel for a Week 5 clash with the Cincinnati Bengals, where Campbell will push for a sharper, more complete showing from his group.
