Head coach Dan Campbell addressed the issue during the NFL’s annual league meetings on Monday, offering a calm but clear explanation of the team’s understanding of the situation.

Campbell: Team’s Information Points Away From Arnold’s Involvement

Campbell explained that the Lions have reviewed the available information and, based on what they have seen so far, there is nothing linking Arnold directly to the alleged crime.

He emphasized that Arnold has not been charged with any offense, and the player’s legal team continues to insist he had no role in the incident—even though his name reportedly appeared in certain court records and text exchanges tied to the investigation.

Rod Wood Details Internal Discussion

While Campbell addressed the matter publicly, team president Rod Wood shared additional insight into how the franchise handled the issue behind the scenes.

According to Wood, the organization immediately requested a meeting with Arnold once the reports became known. The team brought the young defensive back into Wood’s office and questioned him extensively about the situation.

That response highlights how seriously Detroit treated the matter, even though early indications suggested Arnold was not involved.

At this point, the Lions appear comfortable with Arnold’s status within the organization. After conducting their own internal review and continuing to track developments outside the team, the franchise does not currently view the situation as a major issue.
