Detroit Lions Welcome Key Players Back at Practice

Colton Pouncy of The Athletic reports that linebacker Jack Campbell and left tackle Taylor Decker were both back on the practice field after sitting out earlier this week. Their return is an encouraging development as Detroit gears up for its Monday night showdown with the Baltimore Ravens.

The downside? Marcus Davenport was absent again. The experienced edge rusher continues to battle a shoulder issue, and his availability for the matchup with Lamar Jackson and the NFL’s highest-scoring offense seems increasingly doubtful.

Campbell and Decker’s return carries real importance for Detroit. Campbell’s toughness in the middle of the defense will be needed against Baltimore’s ground game, while Decker’s stability at left tackle is essential in keeping quarterback Jared Goff upright.

However, much of the focus stays on Davenport. If he’s unable to go, the Lions will rely heavily on Aidan Hutchinson and Al-Quadin Muhammad to apply pressure off the edge.

Detroit has proven its toughness during the early stretch of 2025, but facing the Ravens on Monday night without a full roster against an attack averaging more than 40 points per outing will be a significant challenge.
