Detroit Lions

Families had the chance to shop alongside Detroit Lions players this week as part of several Meijer-supported community events.

Kids from each of the Lions’ five Inspire Change partner organizations got to spend time with their favorite players.
One of the highlights: the annual “Shop with a Lion” outing, sponsored by Meijer.

Other holiday events, including “Presents from the Pride,” are also underway for local children.

While fans admire the Lions for their performance on Sundays, the impact the team has off the field — especially for young people who could use some extra holiday joy — is just as meaningful.

This week is dedicated to service and generosity for the organization.

At the Grand River Meijer in Detroit, children from Alternatives for Girls, DBG – Detroit, Life Remodeled, the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation, and The Yunion filled carts with gifts, guided by Lions players, former team greats, and even cheerleaders.

These events are just part of a broader effort by the Lions to support families and spread cheer throughout the community.
