DETROIT – For one special night, Detroit Lions fans can swap “Hail to the Victors” for “Hail to the Lions.”
The University of Michigan Marching Band will take the field for a halftime performance during the Lions’ “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field on October 20.
“Pumped to watch the Michigan Marching Band perform at halftime on October 20th for ‘Monday Night Football,’” Lions defensive end and Michigan alum Aidan Hutchinson said in a video posted on the Ford Field X account. “Can’t wait to hear the greatest fight song in college football echo through Ford Field. Go Blue!”
The primetime game against Tampa Bay is expected to be a thrilling contest on national television. Both the Lions and Buccaneers currently hold 4-1 records heading into Week 6.
Tampa Bay will face San Francisco this weekend before traveling to Detroit for the Monday night clash. The Lions, meanwhile, are preparing for a “Sunday Night Football” road showdown against Kansas City.
