Goff and his wife, Christen Harper Goff, welcomed their first child, Romy Isabelle, this July. “My heart is bursting into a million pieces,” Harper wrote on Instagram to celebrate the moment. The milestone came shortly after Travis Kelce made headlines for a brief 10-word reason he turned down a young Chiefs fan’s autograph request.
Born in California in 1993, Harper attended California State University, Northridge, while balancing her studies with modeling gigs to help pay the bills. She and Goff first met in early 2019 through Raya, the private dating app favored by celebrities and influencers.
Their romance became public a few months later when they appeared hand-in-hand at the 2019 ESPY Awards. In 2021, Harper competed in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search and earned a spot as one of six newcomers chosen for the publication that year.
“It’s been such an amazing experience,” Harper shared about her journey. “These women inspire me every single day. I feel so fortunate to meet and connect with so many incredible people around the country.”
Her dedication quickly paid off when she was named co-Rookie of the Year by Sports Illustrated. Since then, she has appeared in five separate Swimsuit editions. Goff proposed in 2022, and by 2024, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony surrounded by loved ones.
Their romance blossomed under the California sun while Goff played for the Los Angeles Rams, but his unexpected trade to the Detroit Lions in 2021 prompted a major life change as the couple moved across the country.
During an interview on Rachel DeMita’s Courtside Club podcast last year, Harper admitted, “I get the most death threats after a loss. My DMs explode with the craziest messages.”
Still, she’s learned to rise above the negativity. “What I’ve realized is that you have to tune it out and really soak in the good moments because they go by fast,” Harper said.
“People can be harsh, people can be cruel, but the best thing you can do is not give them your energy.”
Now, with the Lions sitting at 4-1, Goff and his team hope to strengthen their NFC lead in primetime when they face Patrick Mahomes and the 2-3 Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
