Impressive: Chicago Bears 2024 Trade Back In Mock Draft

The first selection is already decided, but the main goal for this mock draft was to trade back from the ninth pick, regardless of the circumstances.

Even if Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, my preferred choice for the actual draft, is available at nine, I plan to trade back in the first round and aim for another pick on day two.

Utilizing the NFL Mock Draft Database simulator, I opted for a realistic approach rather than maximizing the system. In the trade, I exchanged the ninth overall pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their 17th overall pick, their 48th pick, and a fifth-round pick in 2025.

Despite Odunze being on the board, I selected Jared Verse, an EDGE player from Florida State, with the 17th pick. Additionally, I chose Ricky Pearsall, a wide receiver from Florida, with the 48th pick, Sedrick Van Pran, a center from Georgia, with the 75th pick, and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, a safety from Texas Tech, with the 122nd pick.
