The Jacksonville Jaguars improved three position groups by making moves in free agency.

The Jaguars cut Darious Williams and Rayshawn Jenkins for financial reasons, but they found suitable replacements.

Ronald Darby was brought in to fill Williams’ spot at cornerback, known for his solid performance with only one touchdown allowed in the past two years under Coach Pederson.

Meanwhile, Antonio Johnson will shift back to safety, opening up space for Darnell Savage to play in the slot position. Johnson, who played in the slot last year despite being listed as a safety, was expected to stay there when Savage joined, but Pederson assigned Savage to the slot role. Additionally, the team extended Daniel Thomas, a key special-teams player and backup safety, for two more years.
