Report – Penrith panthers have signed a new Head coach to replace Ivan Cleary today…

Following the Warriors’ victory, Panthers coach Ivan Cleary holds a 49-word press conference.

Coach Ivan Cleary of the Penrith Panthers was in no mood to talk about his team’s shocking NRL loss to the Warriors, who were beset by injuries.

With 10 minutes remaining, Taine Tuaupiki scored and converted the game-winning try, shocking the three-time reigning champions 22–20 and snapping their losing streak.

The day after winger Taylan May was detained and accused of domestic abuse, Penrith suffered a defeat.

Make sure to lock and clear. After the game on Sunday, Isaah Yeo addressed the media, but the coach declined to go into great detail about his team’s clumsy performance or if May’s arrest affected it in any way.

The entire post-match press conference lasted less than two minutes with Cleary’s short, sharp answers totalling just 49 words. Almost half of that was taken up by one answer.

Here is the full transcript.

Ivan, what do you take away from that?

We didn’t play well enough

Was it errors mostly that cost you there? What did you see that the boys could improve?

Yeah, it’s a collection of lots of things.

Could you go into specifics about what those things were that could have been improved on?
