SAD: Derek Osik explains why he wants to depart from the Knoxville Ice Bears…

Season 2019–20: Participated in one game versus Maine on November 9th. was recognized as a Hockey East Top Scholar and a Hockey East All-Academic pick for the second season in a row.

 

 

Season 2018–19: Osik participated in two games during his debut year with the River Hawks. On October 27th at Bentley, he made his River Hawks college debut.

 

 

Previous Team: Osik played four years (2012-2016) at St. Mark’s School, registering 81 points (33g,48a) in 112 games. He was part of two NEPSAC Championships in his junior and senior years and was All-ISL First-Team Honorable Mention both years. He played the 2018-19 season for the South Shore Kings in the NCDC for head coach John Gurskis, registering 56 points (20g,36a) in 50 contests.

 

 

Personal: Son of Christine and Todd Osik… Has older brother Drew… Nickname is DTrain… His hobbies are stocks, guitar and video Games… His favorite TV show is Friends… His favorite professional sports team is the Boston Bruins… His favorite sports figures and influences are Sidney Crosby. His greatest sports moment was scoring the game-winning goal in prep school playoffs on penalty shot with 1.4 seconds left.
