Dan Campbell doesn’t mind losing a night’s sleep for the Detroit Lions’ overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Dan Campbell had a restless night after the Detroit Lions’ dramatic 26-20 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Rams, which concluded just before midnight.

Reflecting on the game, Campbell admitted on Monday that it was challenging to get any rest. “After any game, especially when you get home at 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning, it’s tough to sleep.

Your mind races, replaying everything that went right or wrong, no matter how exhausted you are,” Campbell explained.

Defensive lineman Alim McNeill shared that he didn’t manage to fall asleep until 4 a.m., alternating between reviewing game footage and watching episodes of “Reba” on Netflix.

Campbell chuckled at McNeill’s choice of late-night activities, saying, “I remember what it was like as a player, so I understand what Mac is going through. You go over every play in your mind.”

During the game, the Lions didn’t appear to be Super Bowl contenders for much of the match. They were leading 17-3 early in the third quarter, but Matthew Stafford led a comeback effort.

With the Lions’ offensive line weakened and wide receiver Puka Nacua sidelined by a knee injury, Stafford connected with Cooper Kupp for a touchdown, putting the Rams ahead 20-17 with 4:30 left on the clock.

Campbell noted Stafford’s resilience, saying, “Stafford plays better when you don’t hit him; he just keeps making plays.”

The Rams had an opportunity to win the game when the Lions went three-and-out, but Stafford’s overthrown pass to Kupp missed sealing the victory.

With another chance, Jared Goff took advantage of a crucial Rams penalty to drive the ball deep into Los Angeles territory.
