CeeDee Lamb’s $136 million contract with the Cowboys taught him the value of perseverance and self-worth.

CeeDee Lamb is thrilled after securing a lucrative four-year, $136 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys, which includes a record-breaking $38 million signing bonus and $100 million guaranteed.

This deal, finalized just before the season began, followed Lamb’s holdout during training camp.

The 25-year-old wide receiver was in Florida when he received the news, and he described his reaction as ecstatic, sharing that he could hardly believe it.

With the new contract, Lamb becomes the second-highest paid wide receiver in the NFL, transitioning from his previous salary of just under $18 million to an annual earnings of $34 million, extending through the 2028 season.

Lamb’s performance last season, which included a record-setting 135 catches and 1,749 receiving yards, contributed to his new deal.

Despite missing training camp, he performed well in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns, leading his team with five receptions for 61 yards.

Lamb acknowledged some fatigue but is confident that his endurance will improve with more game experience.

He maintained his fitness during his holdout by working out intensely and staying hydrated with BodyArmor, a partner he endorses.

Although he missed the camaraderie of training camp, Lamb is focused on contributing to his team and has yet to make significant personal purchases.

Lamb also highlighted what he learned from the contract negotiations, emphasizing the importance of trusting one’s value and staying true to oneself.

The experience taught him about maturity and self-composure, and he looks forward to applying these lessons in his career.
