Fans traveling from Louisiana for the Saints and Cowboys game on Sunday aren’t letting Hurricane Francine stop them.

Washington mentioned that friends considered arriving from Houma, Louisiana earlier to avoid any storm-related travel issues. Back home, Francine caused significant damage, including tearing off a business’s roof and leaving many without power.

Locals are facing extended outages, with some not expecting power restoration until Monday.

Jordan Allen shared that conditions were extremely difficult without electricity, describing the experience as unbearable.

Elizabeth Teagle faced concerns about her daughter, a medical student at Tulane, and whether she would be able to travel amid the storm.

Fortunately, her daughter secured a seat on a crowded flight from New Orleans, just in time for a weekend of football.

The family plans to attend TCU’s game on Saturday and the Saints vs. Cowboys game on Sunday.

Teagle emphasized the importance of continuing with life despite weather challenges, unless the situation is catastrophic.

The Saints also adjusted their schedule, choosing to advance their practice session to release players before Francine’s arrival rather than evacuating.

In Texas, the focus remains on the upcoming game. Darren Franklin expressed his commitment to attending, saying, “I wouldn’t cancel for anything in this world” because of his passion for the Cowboys.

He added that dealing with the storm’s aftermath would be addressed after the game.

The Saints-Cowboys game is set to kick off at AT&T Stadium at noon on Sunday.
