Jones vows the Cowboys will fix mistakes following a disheartening Week 2 loss to the Saints.

The Cowboys suffered a humiliating 44-19 defeat to the Saints in Week 2, a game that was even more one-sided than the score suggests.

Dallas has every reason to feel embarrassed, with blame to be shared across the board. Now, they must quickly shift focus to their upcoming game against the Ravens, who are also desperate for a win after an 0-2 start.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, known for his public comments, expressed his disappointment after the loss, calling the performance “extraordinarily disappointing.”

He reassured fans that the team would make improvements, promising they would correct their mistakes and bounce back.

However, concerns about the Cowboys’ future remain. Head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer struggled to adjust, and quarterback Dak Prescott couldn’t turn things around once the game got out of hand—evoking memories of last season’s playoff loss to the Packers.

Despite claiming to be “all-in” for a Super Bowl this season, Jones did not make substantial upgrades to the roster. This year’s team appears weaker than last season’s, and that squad already fell short in the playoffs.

While it seems like a long season ahead for Cowboys fans, there’s still a chance for a turnaround. A win against the Ravens could be a turning point, though Baltimore will also be highly motivated after their own disappointing loss to the Raiders.

Jones’ optimism aside, with McCarthy still in charge, the outlook for real improvements looks grim, and opposing teams will likely continue exploiting the Cowboys’ weaknesses.

The upcoming game will be crucial for both teams.
