Was Jake Paul Disrespectful to Jerry Jones and the Cowboys by Opting Out of Wearing Their Jersey?
Boxer Jake Paul and boxing legend Mike Tyson faced off at midfield during the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The two are scheduled to fight in a sanctioned match on November 15.
Tyson wore a Cowboys jersey with his last name and the number 11, while Paul chose a white jersey featuring his own hygiene product logo rather than a Cowboys shirt.
NESN’s Ountae Campbell criticized Paul for not showing respect, stating on the “Boston Has Entered The Chat” podcast, “Tyson is wearing a real Cowboys jersey. Jake is sporting a jersey with his own brand and a star pattern.
It’s disrespectful to not support the team and the venue hosting the fight. Jerry Jones is giving you this chance, and you should respect the Cowboys.” Although Campbell noted Paul’s Cleveland roots, he insisted that respect for the Cowboys was essential.
Campbell and Balekji are rooting for Tyson but are doubtful about his chances against Paul. For more on the match, check out the latest episode on YouTube and Spotify.
