Injury Update for the Detroit Lions: Details on Amon-Ra St. Brown

During the Detroit Lions’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown experienced some injuries in the fourth quarter and was unable to finish the game.

After the match, head coach Dan Campbell assured that there were no long-term issues.

On Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided additional details, stating that while St. Brown was “hobbled” during the game, he was initially diagnosed with only a contusion and cramping.Following a quiet performance in Week 1, St.

Brown bounced back in Week 2, recording 11 receptions for 119 yards on 19 targets.

Throughout the game, he took multiple low hits to his legs, requiring medical attention from Lions trainers twice.

The first instance was late in the third quarter when he was able to jog off the field. The second occurred late in the fourth quarter, at which point he was moving more slowly and could not return.

While cramping is generally a minor issue that can be easily addressed, contusions can vary in severity.

Some may be manageable, while others can be quite painful and problematic. St. Brown will have a full week to recover before the Lions face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.

It’s possible that he could be limited or unable to participate in practice for part or all of the week.

The Lions’ next practice session isn’t scheduled until Wednesday, and it’s common for players with injuries sustained during games to take that day off.

We should have a clearer understanding of St. Brown’s condition by then.
