Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is making an impact in the early part of the season, which the team’s receiving corps greatly needed.
At just 23 years old, he has faced challenges, playing only 18 games over the past two years due to injury and a gambling suspension. However, 2024 has been favorable for him.
In Week 1, during the overtime victory against the Los Angeles Rams on “Sunday Night Football,” Williams recorded 5 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown, receiving nine targets.
In Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was targeted 11 times and caught 5 passes for 79 yards.
According to the team, Williams is among only six receivers in NFL history to achieve over 200 receiving yards and more than 25 rushing yards in the first two games of a season.
In the last game, his statistics dipped as Amon-Ra St. Brown became more prominent in the offense, securing 11 catches for 119 yards on 18 targets.
Both players aim to enhance their 2024 performance as they prepare for their first road game against the Arizona Cardinals, with kickoff set for 3:25 p.
