Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys Leaves Fans Surprised, Believing He’s Selected His Next Team

Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons is one of the NFL’s top defensive players — and with Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb now under contract for the future — he’s next in line for a big payday.

Many NFL fans and insiders are wondering how the Cowboys will manage to pay Parsons, who is likely to seek a contract that makes him the highest-paid defensive player in the league.

If Parsons doesn’t secure a new deal after the 2024 season, numerous teams will be eager to offer him big money to boost their defense. The Cowboys’ star has had at least 13 sacks in three straight seasons, earning All-Pro honors.

So far in 2024, Parsons has recorded one sack and seven tackles.

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons has fans convinced he’s chosen his next team.

On his recent podcast episode, Parsons lavished praise on the Houston Texans, leading fans to believe that’s where he wants to play in the future.

“I mean, they’re playing elite defense and elite offense. Coach Ryans is doing something special over there. I’ve been watching them, man. Those young guys are hoopin’.

… That Texans team will be a deep playoff contender, especially with how C.J. is playing, and that defense is playing. It’s gonna be special,” Parsons said.

Naturally, fans interpreted Parsons’ remarks as a sign he wants to leave the Cowboys and join the Texans.

“Sounds like he wants to be part of something great,” read one comment.

“Wants to play with Stroud so bad,” said another.

“Bro, if you could get him on the line with Will and Hunter… they might cause havoc out there,” added a third.

“He doesn’t even want to be in Dallas anymore,” wrote a fourth.

The Texans already boast a solid defense that would become elite with Parsons, should they manage to lure him away from the Cowboys. Jerry Jones always makes things interesting, so it will be an exciting offseason to see what happens with their top defensive player.
