Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his family also evacuated their home, with Emily sharing an emotional update with her followers.
Sarah Jane expressed her support on Instagram, sharing a reel that showcased the hurricane, hoping for everyone’s safety. She wrote in her story, “Prayers for Tampa.”
The situation is dire, with the death toll rising daily as more than 50 lives have been lost in the disaster.
Emily, Baker Mayfield’s girlfriend, posted a heartfelt message for Hurricane Helene victims, noting that they had evacuated their home. Her emotional post conveyed the widespread impact of the hurricane.
“I can’t find the words to express my heartbreak for everyone affected by Hurricane Helene.
You see these events on TV, but experiencing it firsthand reveals the fear of the unknown. Baker, Koko, Fergus, and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” Emily stated.
She added that her community was severely impacted, expressing concern for the devastation in northern areas. “It’s unimaginable. I’m so grateful to God for keeping us safe and for our home.
I am praying constantly for everyone facing the aftermath of the storm, the surge, and the loss,” Emily continued.
Emily encouraged others to reach out if they needed help.
On September 28, the Buccaneers announced that the Glazer family donated $1 million to local NGOs assisting Hurricane Helene victims.
The team’s post on X stated, “The Glazer family has pledged $1 million to support local nonprofits helping those most affected by Hurricane Helene.
This donation will be directed toward agencies involved in relief efforts throughout Tampa Bay.”
